One of the IDS clients included in the article was a woman who used her credit cards to pay for eyecare expenditures not covered by insurance and was overwhelmed by the debt she created. Nancy Trejos’ articled pointed out that this woman “is now on a debt-management plan that has brought her monthly payments down to $900 from about $1,300.”
