Industry experts were shocked this week at news that Australian business investment had risen 3.3% in the second quarter. Initial predictions were of a 5% decrease in spending following the 7.3% decrease of the first quarter. The data given by the Australian Bureau of Statistics is thought to indicate a recovery from the economic recession which is well in time for 2010.
