Asian Pop King Bursts Bookings At Swissôtel Foshan

PR Log (Press Release) – Sep 04, 2009 – FOSHAN – Swissôtel Foshan, the first international deluxe hotel in the Guangdong city of Foshan, experienced full bookings when they had the privilege to host popular Mandarin pop singer Jay Chou recently. The 30-year-old Taiwanese star was in Foshan to perform at the sixth leg of the Jay Chou 2009 World Tour.

With its state-of-the–art room facilities and impeccable service, Swissôtel Foshan, Guangdong was the exclusive hospitality provider to Taiwan’s most popular male singer Jay Chou when he was here on 22 August for a one-night concert as part of his 2009 World Tour.

Specially for his legions of fans, Swissôtel Foshan introduced a Jay Chou Concert Special promotional package which encompassed accommodation in a Premier Room and two tickets to his concert. “Response to this package was very successful as many of his fans wanted to stay in the same hotel as him. We were fully occupied the night that Jay Chou was here,” said Jackson Wong, newly-appointed General Manager of Swissôtel Foshan.

In anticipation of Jay Chou’s arrival, avid fans filled up the hotel lobby from early afternoon but tight hotel security measures implemented kept the crowd under control. Eventually, over 100 fans waited in vain for five hours as the pop star accessed the Presidential Suite on level 49 from the basement car park via a private lift.
