Team SILEX opens Second Time Around in Westport, CT

Saturday August 29th may not have been a day for the beach, but shoppers in downtown Westport, CT were happily gathered at the grand opening party of Boston-based retailer Second Time Around’s latest boutique at 135 Post Road East.

Second Time Around is a family-run chain of upscale, designer consignment clothing stores with 20 stores up and down the east coast, helmed by president Jeff Casler and his wife Susan.

Real Housewives of NYC star and STA Director of Creative Operations Alex McCord hosted the event, together with her husband and fashion-loving sidekick Simon van Kempen.  Fans of the show were treated to personal assistance from the dynamic duo as mothers, daughters and local fashionistas shopped for fall looks.  Throughout the afternoon McCord found a gold crocheted Diane von Furstenberg cocktail dress for $96, which would normally retail near $475.

Store manager Betsy McGuire welcomed guests such as Gail Sagel of Beautiful Faces, Susan Tane, Lisa Wexler, anchor of Live With Lisa on AM1400 and sister of Real Housewives castmate Jill Zarin, for an afternoon of shopping, champagne and cupcakes.
