Taking place at the Alliance campus, the full day program includes dynamic speakers, topical break-out sessions, networking, gifts and giveaways. The theme for 2009 is "The Art of Women" Succeeding in Life and Business, and proceeds will benefit Open Doors and The Alliance Children's Scholarship Fund.
"When women join together for education, sharing and empowerment, something magical happens," said Shane. “This is the greatest time to be an autonomous, independent woman in business. The opportunities are limitless.”

She is the recipient of the Community Service Award of The Junior League of Fort Myers and was awarded Gentlewoman of the Year in 2007 for her Community Service.

She is an active member of the Florida Public Relations Association, Gulf Coast Society of Fund Raising Executives and the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce in which she serves as the co-chair of the Women in Business committee.

During the event attendees are invited to participate in a Living Mural painted by Annette Watkins of Brushes and Bottles LLC. A Vision Board Room will also be set up in one of the art classrooms.
