North Hollywood, CA – Gala Electronica, the electronic music dance odyssey that unites classic dance styles with electronic music to take you on a journey through Love, Introspection and Hope, announces that it has added five new dance performances to its Los Angeles shows which debuts at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood on September 25th and 26th for a two-night only extravaganza.
“Gala Electronica transports you to a new world and allows you to look at yourself and your life in many different ways,” says producer Morris Mizrahi. “By adding these new dances, the audience will be furthered immersed into the unique world that the performance creates.”
One of the new dances will feature the show’s director, Tom Slater, World Exhibition Champion and West Coast Swing National Showtime Champion and his previous dance partner, Cate Caplin, director, choreographer and World Exhibition Champion performer, who is making her debut with Gala Electronica. Slater has an incredible background in dance having received his BA in Theatre from USC. He has also danced for two presidents and worked with numerous celebrities. Caplin has produced, directed and choreographed over 100 productions in Los Angeles and is currently directing Proof for the Malibu Stage Company.
Gala Electronica also stars some of today's highest ranked Ballroom and Latin dancers including Vaidotas Skimelis and Jurga Pupelyte, 4th place finishers in Latin in the 2008 United States National Dance Championships;
