Softron Media Services® announced today immediate availability of MovieRecorder Express as well as a multi-channel option that supports up to four video input streams. MovieRecorder Express is the ideal Macintosh based software application for permanent recording of an incoming video signal, like for television video compliance systems. It records in H.264 format as well as in the native recording format of the device used to input the video. If the device were an SD video card, recording would be in H.264 and / or in Uncompressed SD. If the device were a DV FireWire device, the recording would be in H.264 and DV.
MovieRecorder starts capturing continuously to a file or files from the time the start button is selected until the stop capture button is selected. Files can be split into chunks every hour, two hours, four hours, eight or twelve hours. The user has the possibility to archive and/or delete files every day, every seven days, 30 days, month, three months, twelve months or never with or without a filename prefix that you indicate. Using the multichannel option, MovieRecorder Express can capture a single input, two, three or four inputs. MovieRecorder Express satisfies the legal requirement to keep track of what a specific channel has been broadcasting or to record live video feeds over a long period of time.
MovieRecorder Express is available at € 495 (US$ 695). The Pro option retails for € 295 (US$ 395). It is available for purchase from Softron authorized resellers throughout the world or from the online store in areas where there is no reseller available.
