Majestic Wine Introduces New Minimum Purchase, Following Successful Trial

Sept. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Majestic are very pleased to announce that from 1st September 2009 our minimum purchase in-store will be reduced to 6 bottles. We have been trialling a 6 bottle minimum purchase in selected stores over the past year and customer feedback has been very positive.

The purpose of the trial has been to determine whether the Majestic business model of offering excellent customer service from our knowledgeable staff, an impressive range of 800+ wines and free tasting 7 days a week would thrive on a 6 bottle minimum policy.  The trials have shown positive results and reducing our minimum purchase makes Majestic even more accessible to both current and new customers.  Our 12 bottle policy will remain when purchasing through our website and customers will continue to enjoy free delivery when purchasing 12+ bottles.

Other exciting news this Autumn is the launch of Grape to Glass, our new in-depth seasonal wine guide.  We are very proud of our staff and their passion for wine is evident to anyone that shops with Majestic.  This guide has given them the opportunity to write interesting and informative articles and recommend the wines that they love in our range.

We have also launched our new in-store initiative – Wine Uncorked.   This is a free, two hour introduction to wine, delivered by our knowledgeable store managers. The tasting session focuses on how to taste wine, the main factors that influence wine styles, the process of winemaking and food and wine matching techniques.
