LIVE WEBCAST by SoundQue at the Buffalo Wing Festival: firefighter fundraiser Labor Day Weekend.
SoundQue Multimedia is pleased to partner with the National Buffalo Wing Festival for this important fundraiser on Labor Day Weekend.
Drew Cerza, founder of the NATIONAL BUFFALO WING FESTIVAL, has announced that the 2009 “Wing Fest”, scheduled for Labor Day weekend at Coca Cola Field in downtown Buffalo, will include a fundraising effort for the families of Buffalo firefighters Jonathan Croom and Lt. Clarles McCarthy Jr.
Members of the Buffalo Fire Department will be stationed at the event, where they will accept donations from attendees. Interviews, testimonials and other events will be part of the live broadcast.
Online donations will be taken during the webcast.
Responding to the fundraising announcement, Dan Cunningham, President of Buffalo Firefighters local #282, I.A.F.F.stated “It is absolutely outstanding that Drew and the festival are honoring our men by utilizing the Wing Fest as a way to raise money for the families of our fallen firefighters”
Festival highlights will feature the United States Chicken Wing Eating Championship, the Buffalo Blue Cheese Bowl, the Miss Buffalo Wing Pageant, the Baby Wing competition, the Buffalo Bowl Competitive Eating contest, and the Restaurant and Amateur Sauce-off competitions. There will also be live bands throughout the two day event. Best of all, this year’s “WING FEST” will again feature more than 30 national and local chicken wing eateries and vendors, who will sauce more than 100 varieties of America’s favorite finger food.

Hours for the 2009 NATIONAL BUFFALO WING FESTIVAL are Noon to 9pm on Saturday and Noon to 7pm on Sunday. The festival will be preceded on Friday evening by the annual “HALL OF FLAME” induction ceremony.
Festival admission is $5.00 for adults. Children 8 and under are admitted for FREE. Sponsors include St. Pauli Girl Beer and Frank’s RedHot.
This year’s festival will benefit Meals on Wheels, the Alzheimer’s Association and Cystic Fibrosis.
