With prices starting in the $600,000s, federal tax credit availability for first-time buyers and an extra $5,000 in builder incentives if you close escrow by Nov. 30, now is the time to buy at single-family home neighborhood in San Marcos

Sept. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- The housing market is showing signs of turning around, with inventory levels returning to normal, home prices rising and more people visiting new-home sales offices. The availability of a federal $8,000 tax credit for first time homebuyers is another big incentive to buy a new home now.

Time is running out to be eligible for the federal tax credit.  You must close escrow by Nov. 30, which means you should purchase your new home by Oct. 15.

At the new-home neighborhood Mahogany at Old Creek Ranch by Brookfield Homes San Diego, visitors find even more reasons to buy. The builder is offering an additional $5,000 towards closing costs and/or upgrades as long as the escrow closes by Nov. 30.

Recently releasing four homes for sale in Phase 9B at Mahogany, Brookfield Homes has sold two and has two still available. Phase 9B is scheduled to be completed in early October. The builder also has two homes available in Phase 6A, scheduled for completion in November. These homes will be available to close escrow by Nov. 30 to take advantage of the $8,000 federal tax credit.

Four more view oriented homes in Phase 9C are scheduled to be released for sale on Saturday, Sept. 5.  These homes will be priced from the mid $600,000s.

With prices starting at $602,900, Mahogany homes are listed for as much as $100,000 less than similarly sized homes in nearby communities, allowing homebuyers to get much more for their money, according to Lora Heramb, vice president of sales and marketing for Brookfield Homes.

“The market is heating up, especially in North County, and Mahogany is one of the best deals in town right now, ” said Heramb. “This current combination of price, location, and floor plan availability won’t last.”

As detailed in the homebuilder’s web site: www.ExpectMoreInAHome.com, Brookfield Homes is committed to ensuring all details of their homes, both the visible and the invisible, are of the highest quality.
