Ann Arbor, MI – There are a lot of misconceptions about home hospice care. By the time people are in need of hospice home care, they are in the midst of an overwhelming family crisis. Rebecca spoke at a recent meeting where home-care givers gathered to discuss senior home care and hospice home care. “Hospice care is provided to terminally ill people and their families,” said Colmer. “The focus of hospice care is care, not cure. It is a program to provide support care services including physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for dying people and their families and loved ones.”
Rebecca discussed the benefits of hospice home care. “Hospice home care is typically chosen when someone has received a diagnosis indicating terminal illness with less than six months to live,” said Rebecca. “Caring for a dying loved one at home can have its rewards; however, it is not for everyone.”
