Sony Ericsson announced the long awaited Xperia X2 this afternoon and like the X1, which was announced some months ago, is centred around its innovative panel interface.
The phone also features, amongst other things, an 8.1MP Autofocus camera with video recording, support for 16GB microSDHC cards, HSPA and a slide out qwerty keyboard.
The phone also features Wi Fi, is DLNA certified and runs on the very latest Windows Mobile 6.5 OS which should be with us very soon.
Sony Ericsson is banking on developers taking up the innovative panel system but no doubt Sony Ericsson will be providing us with their own versions get things going.
The new device is finished off in metal and features quite a large 3.2" screen with auto rotation.
Colours come in black and silver, like the X1, and this phone should be available soon.
