Riders at Three Sisters
The very first Three Sisters Charity Rideout took place on the 11st August with over £3000 being generated for local causes!
Over 50 riders travelled to the Lancashire circuit to ride their bikes in support of the charity, each paying £5 for three laps of the club circuit.
The Rideout charity event is the brainchild of local Councillor Bob Brierley who was delighted with the turnout. ‘I’m really pleased with the support we’ve received, special thanks must go to LWT Transport of Wigan for their sizeable donation. ‘
Bob is supported by fellow Councillor Brian Merry, both keen bikers who have created the Charity to fund local initiatives, ‘We hope we can build on this success for the next two events on the 15th September and the 13th October where we’ll be running from 3pm in the afternoon till dusk.’
Bob and Brian are planning on using the funds generated to purchase a two seater kart to provide passenger rides for those less fortunate and in need of a pick me up.
Peter Barnes, Managing Director of Three Sisters Race Circuit which is provided the circuit at no cost was delighted to host the event . ‘ Bob and Brian approached us a couple of months ago, and we were really excited about their fantastic scheme. We’re honoured to be part of and are hope we can help them both build it into a monthly event during the biker friendly months.’
All motorcycles must be road legal, all riders must produce a valid licence and wear protective clothing, pillions (must also wear protective clothing) and spectators are welcome, please join us between 3pm and dusk on the next two dates:
