Negligence on behalf of the Canadian High Commission has led down years of hope of many migrants actually qualifying under the Point Based System. The Canadian High Commission is refusing the qualifying applications on grounds unknown to the applicant post 27th February 2008. The Point Based System introduced to expedite the process has led to the opposite for those applicants who have filed their applications before 27th February 2008. These applications are being claimed to be refused on ambiguous grounds.

The patient applicants waiting in the queue for years now have been led down without even a phone call seeking clarification. “An investigation into this case would clearly prove majority of the rejected applicants to be actually qualifying under the selection criteria in which they applied and were being processed for. These actions should be challenged in the Canadian court but unfortunately, most of the applicants are unaware of the Canadian Law system,” says Mr. Ajay Sharma, Principal immigration Consultant of ‘ABHINAV’ - a leading Immigration Firm.

In cases where the applications have been pending for many years, the High Commission asks for an updating of forms and documents from the applicant, within the next 90 days. This communication is sent by an ordinary post and e – mail with no provision for an acknowledgement, which is never received by the applicant. However, a refusal communication is received on time at the given address. Mr. Ajay Sharma, adds, “Surely, the processing fee running into thousands of Rupees (hundreds of dollars) gives a right to the applicant to receive his important communications by registered post at least! And if the post has been sent back undelivered, then the High Commission staff would have to simply pick-up the phone and called the applicants.”

The above scenario is clearly questioning the credibility of the Canadian High Commission. If it continues, the country can lose out on its own worth as a brilliant immigration destination.
