Today, Eneksis Solutions, L.L.C., based in San Diego, CA, formally announced the product launch of its, patented (pending) service, Make an Offer. The e-commerce based service allows internet retailers to automatically accept or decline price offers made on their products by their customers. "Typically, in e-commerce transactions, you have to accept a product's advertised price in order to add the item to your shopping cart. With Make an Offer integrated into a seller's web site, they don't have to sell their items on eBay or other third-party marketplaces in order to capture the attention of bargain seekers. We think that freedom will be welcomed by a lot of eBay sellers", said Eneksis Solutions' CEO, Chris Massi.
Completely Re-Engineered Design
To some eBay sellers, the name Make an Offer may seem familiar since it was originally designed for - and pilot tested on - eBay's auction platform. During the pilot testing, auction listings using this feature outperformed traditional listings by 159% until it was forced off eBay. eBay subsequently developed and released their own Best Offer feature (http://www.auctionbytes.com/
In cooperation with the system's original developer, Eneksis Solutions redesigned Make an Offer to operate independently of any single platform, instead making it compatible with virtually any e-commerce application. Jason Moore, Eneksis Solutions' President and CTO explains, "It doesn't matter whether you're an independent software developer contracted to build a seller's web site, a shopping cart vendor offering pre-packaged products, or an all-in-one e-commerce solution provider. You can quickly and easily add value to your application by integrating the Make an Offer service. We're excited about the potential this has to seriously impact e-commerce."
Simplifying the buyer and seller experience
Sellers log into a web-based management page to configure automated price thresholds. Sellers have the ability to manipulate the automatic accept and deny criteria at the store, category, and product level according to preference. Email notification is also available when an offer is received which does not meet the automated approval criteria. These offers can then be personally reviewed using the seller's management page. With this product, sellers enjoy the luxury of being able to configure the system to accept or decline offers without the need for their direct involvement.
Similarly, buyers are able to monitor the status of any offers they've submitted using the Make an Offer service, all from one management page. Another unique and powerful feature buyers will appreciate is the ability to receive an instant approval of their offer, completing the entire process (from offer to checkout) in seconds.
