Woodchuck Cider Unveils 2009 Fall Cider Limited Release

Middlebury, VT – Woodchuck Draft Cider, Vermont’s premier hand-crafted hard cider, launches Woodchuck Fall Cider – the 2009 Fall Season Limited Release.  The unique taste and aroma of Woodchuck, not found in any other hard cider, results from century old hand-crafting techniques…

The 2009 Woodchuck Fall Cider begins with apples that are pressed to juice, fermented and then cold-filtered.  Then master cider maker and creator of the original 1991 Woodchuck recipe, Greg Failing, performs his personal touch with an attractive bouquet of autumn spices starring cinnamon and nutmeg.  Creation of this season’s limited release is completed while Failing balances out the taste with a hint of American white oak.  

As with all Woodchuck Draft Cider recipes, the Limited Release Woodchuck Fall Cider is a naturally gluten free beverage.

Tastings of Woodchuck Fall Cider will be offered to persons of legal age at the Apple Season Kick-off Event being held September 15th at Shelburne Orchards in conjunction with the Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing, Small Dog Electronics, the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, and Shelburne Farms.  The Apple Season Kick-off Event is also the launch of the “Apples to Ipods” promotion of which Woodchuck Draft Cider is a co-sponsor.  More information is available at www.applestoipods.com.
