The National Association of Professional Organizers, Washington, DC- Metro Chapter (NAPO-WDC), the central resource in the DC Metro area for organizing professionals, is pleased to announce several well recognized speakers and presenters for the 11th Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Professional Organizers (MARCPO). This day-long event, titled "Broadening Your Vision: Expand. Exceed. Excel.," will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel & Executive Meeting Seminar Center in Bethesda, Maryland on Saturday, October 17, 2009.
The Opening Keynote Speaker is author, speaker, TV show host, and entrepreneur, Krista Green. Krista was named by Calgary Inc. magazine as one of their “Top 40 Under 40” outstanding young business professionals. Krista’s first company, Organized for Life, went on to become the first professional organizing franchise system worldwide – and the first employer in the industry in Canada, with three locations – in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. A noted speaker and coach in the organizing industry, Krista released a 4-Disc Audio Program for Professional Organizers entitled How to Grow, Brand, and Market Your Organizing Business and Sell Your Organizing Services in spring 2008. Joining our esteemed group is Erin Rooney Doland, Editor-in-Chief of Unclutterer.com, a website providing daily articles on home and office organization. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, William Allen White School of Journalism, and her master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. She is a writer and organization consultant, and an active member of the National Association of Professional Organizers. In addition to her work at Unclutterer, Erin is a weekly columnist for Real Simple magazine’s website. Her writing also has appeared in publications including Ready Made magazine, Real Simple magazine, CNN.com, and Woman's Day magazine.
