Enhanced website helps families choose elderly care options
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Older adults and their families in need of information, support and resources can turn to www.gsecare.com, the newly enhanced website of Garden State Eldercare, a local provider of home care and geriatric care management services.
Thirty-four million Americans provide care for an aging family member; that number will increase dramatically when the Baby Boom generation moves beyond retirement years.
Responding to the growing need for practical information on care options for elders, Kerry Boland, RN, and Ethan Kassel, LCSW, co-founders and owners-operators of Garden State Eldercare, have developed the new site as a helpful tool that will help families make informed decisions about the care of their loved ones.  Garden State Eldercare, an eldercare services firm, was founded in 2007 in response to the complex medical, financial, legal and social issues faced by older adults and their families. Boland and Kassel provide clients and their families with information on the wide array of services: nursing care and certified hourly/live-in home health aide services, in addition to a wide range of care management services (evaluating elder needs; identifying appropriate community resources and programs); coordinating services with physicians; and assisting with long-term care placement. The website provides specific information on Garden State Eldercare’s hiring and training standards; a comprehensive “FAQs” section; and family stories. There is also a section for professionals who wish to make a client referral.
The company also provides counseling services, relocation assistance for elders of children who live at a distance, family conflict mediation, and household management.  Clients and families have access to services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Garden State Eldercare is a Health Care Services Firm licensed by the Division of Consumer Affairs of the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, and is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCM).
