Ikando Foundation
The Ghana Coalition of Healthcare NGOs is a supervisory organisation which was established in March 2000 under the auspices of the Ministry of Health. It was set up to co-ordinate the efforts of NGO’s in support of the health delivery system in Ghana. Its members are largely made up of local NGOs who are involved in the prevention, promotion and provision of health services in Ghana. Currently, the Coalition has a membership of over 300 organizations from all the regions of the country.
Currently, The Ghana Coalition of Healthcare NGOs is looking for HIV/AIDS project officers, research assistants, monitoring and evaluation officers and support officers for various projects.

Ikando provides skilled volunteers and interns to organisations in Ghana, West Africa. Their objective is to help more people gain the life changing, life affirming experiences that volunteering can give. They are committed to enabling skill transfer, enabling organisations in the developing world to access different skill sets and to helping volunteers realize the value they can add using the skills they hold.
Ikando hopes their volunteers will become responsible global citizens as a result of their experience with Ikando, promoting the need for social change and raising awareness in their home communities on the issues they encountered. Africa has a lot of offer but also needs support, the support it rightfully deserves.
