TROY, Mich. – Great Lakes Employee Benefit Services, Inc. (GLEBS), a Troy, Michigan brokerage and consulting firm specializing in health and welfare benefits in an exclusive partnership with the country’s premier health insurance actuarial firm is conducting a national health care benefits benchmarking survey. The survey is the largest of its kind in the United States.
According to GLEBS Principal Joe Coan, “Michigan companies participating in this unique survey will receive a complimentary report that benchmarks their benefit programs against local and national survey respondents.”
Participating companies will gain valuable insight into how their programs compare to others statewide, regionally and nationally. The survey reports communicate easy-to-understand information, providing employers with the metrics they need to competitively position their employee benefit programs now and in the future.
The survey captures information for HMO, PPO, and POS plans and includes data fields for deductibles, out of pocket maximums, copayments for office visits and prescriptions, single/family monthly premiums, monthly employee contributions, wellness programs, CDHP offerings, historical cost increases, etc. for fully insured and self-funded plans, as well as other benefits offered.
The survey is being offered to over 1,000 companies statewide and tens of thousands nationally. With a user-friendly, web-based format, the survey takes 30-60 minutes to complete. Partial input may be saved allowing respondents to complete or edit the survey at a future time, before submission. Individual company results will be provided in a clear, easy-to-understand report by qualified and knowledgeable consultants.
Those wishing to participate can simply visit the following site to get started: https://2009survey.millimanomaha.com/
To participate, companies must complete the survey by no later than September 10th. GLEBS anticipates the survey results will be made available to all participants around September 24th.
