Collaboration Matters (www.collaborationmatters.com)
today announced it has formed a strategic alliance with Applicable (www.applicable.com)
, extending its range of IBM Lotus Connections-
based social software offerings to include software as a service (SaaS) and hosted options.
These new Lotus Connections services will allow more organisations to take advantage of the power of social software on-demand, reducing initial and overall costs. A choice of dedicated hosted or SaaS (per user per month) options will enable organisations to choose the right security and pricing model to suit their collaboration needs.
"Lotus Connections is a tremendously powerful tool for enabling knowledge-sharing and embracing innovation."
said Stuart McIntyre, Technical Director at Collaboration Matters. "This new alliance with Applicable will allow us offer ‘Connections in the Cloud’, reducing the complexity and IT infrastructure demands, enabling an even broader range of organisations to benefit from the cultural shift and business improvements that social software can offer."
Collaboration Matters had been seeking a partner who had the ability to offer a true ‘always-on’
worldwide delivery of IBM Lotus Connections solutions to enable its customers to take advantage of the latest social software developments without the initial up-front costs or skills enablement associated with traditional on-premise delivery. Stuart McIntyre commented “This alliance with an established provider of IBM Lotus cloud based solutions gives our customers the ability to gain the huge benefits of social computing from IBM quickly and in an innovative commercial offering.”
Applicable's Chief Technology Office Mark Ward commented “Being able to deliver these highly complex solutions in the cloud without compromise to functionality, usability or security is a key win for customers. We are able to combine the deep experience of Collaboration Matters' understanding of the cultural and business benefits in deploying IBM Lotus Connections with our experience of delivering highly available SaaS offerings.”
