What do you get when you mix Rock, Jazz, & Funk?

Orange Marmalade started their career in June 2007 at the Park View Battle of the Bands.

The band was originally a 3 piece with Brett Berman (guitar/vocals), Steven Andryszak (Bassist), and Matthew Berman (Drummer). In 2008, they decided on recruiting a lead vocalist, which turned out to be Tanner Harvey. Shortly thereafter, they recorded their first demo.

Their Influences are:
Rage Against the Machine, The Mars Volta, Between the Buried and Me, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Ten Years After, The White Stripes, John Paul Jones, Jazz, Sterling

They promoted themselves by putting up videos (courtesy of Martin Bonica) and playing many local shows, and since have acquired a loyal fan-base.

Recently, Orange Marmalade won the 2009 Park View Battle of the Bands, and are in the talks of headlining a show at Jaxx Nightclub. They are now focusing on writing new material, and getting a new demo recorded.

A little About the Guys:
Brett Berman
Guitarist
Brett's been playing guitar for close to five years. Currently a senior at Dominion High School. Looking to apply for Berklee College of Music. Highly influenced by Jack White, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, and Tom Morello

Matthew Berman
Drummer
Matthew has been drumming for a little more than 2 years. He currently attends Penn State. He is heavily influenced by Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave. Other influences include Jon Theodore, Blake Richardson, Danny Carey , and Neil Peart.

Adam Bush
Bassist
Adam has been playing various instruments for close to five years, including drums, bass, and guitar. He is a senior at Dominion High School. Adam became permanent bassist in 2008. His influences include John Paul Jones, Tim Commerford, Jazz, and Geddy Lee.

Tanner Harvey
Lead Singer
Tanner has sung for about 8 years, 2 of which were in choir, and has sung with Orange Marmalade for about 2 years. His musical influences include Cedric Bixler Zavala, Chris Cornell, Thom Yorke, and John Rzeznik.
