As Coach Pickles' Jelly Bean Sports prepares for its 8:00am, September 12th annual red carpet tot-sports open house at Hoffman Estates' northwest suburban Chicago park district, its living staff assembles the four newest inanimate staff members. They represent the four fun cartoon jelly bean characters found within the company's colorful logo.
The childlike bodies are one year-old mannequins. However, it is giant jelly bean-heads that cause their otherwise ordinary 27" bodies to stand over 3 feet high. They will be prepared with faces and readied to appear on the red carpet where they will be dressed in local professional team jerseys, posed and ready for kid photo-ops shot by their paparazzi parents.
"This is our second year doing the event" said Jelly Bean Sports Chief Executive Bean, Coach Pickles (a.k.a. Brad Kayden.) He added, "Our new Bean-A-Kins, as they've been named, have been a lot fun to design. They have really created a lot of promotional buzz around our revolutionary approach to tot-sports programming that we are grateful for." He went on to add, “The expressions on the faces of the families who haven't seen them yet are really what we are most anticipating."
Coach Pickles' Jelly Bean Sports works with park districts, offering its Sports Made Simple, Learning Made Fun T-ball, Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football Classes for kids ages 2-8.
