Ragmala Radio and TV launched in California, USA to promote music and fine arts of India

It is with great joy that we announce the launch of Ragmala Radio and Ragmala Television to further the music and fine arts of India. These stations are dedicated to the memory of the great musical saint Pandit Shiv Dayal Batish whose contribution to the music of India can only be described as unmeasurable although if you were to ask him this question he would humbly reply that it is but a drop in the ocean. We are talking about over 6000 songs written in almost 2500 ragas of North Indian and Carnatic origin. He also wrote about 10 books to teach the music of India. These are the texts at the Batish Institute of Music.

The content is streamed 24/7 from our servers in Santa Cruz California and is a mixture of releases by Batish Records (CDs and videos), past radio and TV interviews with the BBC, All India Radio, US radio and TV stations and live concert footage that we have been accumulating in our archives. Future broadcasts are set to include live programs with friends of the Batish family that are presently under planning stages.
