Highlands Construction received a Home Energy Rating of 65 and qualified for the highest standard of Five Stars Plus from Efficiency Vermont for their green building standards at Haystack Highlands townhomes in Wilmington, VT.
Efficiency Vermont, the nation’s first statewide provider of energy efficiency services, helps Vermont’s residents and businesses attain energy efficiency. One of these services is to certify Vermont’s homes as ENERGY STAR rated homes. ENERGY STAR homes save owners 30% on energy bills, have lower maintenance costs, healthier indoor air, help protect the environment and are approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency as ENERGY STAR qualified.
