Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Michele Rosenthal, founder of Heal My PTSD, LLC, announced today she will offer 20 free Healing PTSD coaching sessions in honor of National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week (Sept. 14 – 20). Complimentary sessions will be given to the first 10 civilian and 10 veteran respondents.
“The most important aspect of PTSD healing is the degree to which the survivor engages in the process. The survivor’s own empowered desire to heal lies at the crux of any success,” Michele explains.
A trauma and PTSD survivor herself, Michele is on a mission to help others overcome the mentally and physically debilitating effects of PTSD, including rage, emotional numbing, insomnia, flashbacks, dissociation, hyperarousal, hypervigilance and intrusive thoughts.
“A major symptom of PTSD is powerlessness. Survivors attempt to heal while battling extreme experiences of helplessness, hopelessness and an overwhelming lack of confidence. Changing this can make all the difference in healing,” Michele believes.
Michele’s approach to supporting survivors focuses on helping them develop a post-trauma identity. Using aspects of her own healing experience combined with her certification as a Licensed Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Michele coaches clients in a unique method of making peace with the past while actively moving toward the future.
She says, “Giving up our traumatized selves is difficult and frightening. It makes it easier if there’s something else to fill that space.”
Michele’s coaching process takes survivors on a path of discovery that leads them through defining healing intentions, learning to speak about trauma, educating themselves, family, friends and colleagues about PTSD, reaching out for help and support, changing unhealthy perceptions, setting healing goals, committing to healing, and the pursuit of joy.
In support of Invisible Illness Awareness Week Michele wishes to help others discover that healing PTSD is imminently possible. Complimentary sessions can be done in the office or over the phone. Geographic location will play no role in determining who is selected for coaching.
