In addition to providing patient-centered care for the past four decades, Dr. Pickron is a leader in charitable giving and volunteerism. In less than four years, Project Smile, a charitable giving program he developed, has contributed $235,000 to local charities.
In response to patient and parent angst over the replacement cost of lost and broken retainers, Dr. Pickron began asking patients to donate that cost directly to one of the designated charitable organizations in the Project Smile program.
