LPU adjudged 11th best “Engineering College of Excellence” in India

PR Log (Press Release) – Aug 31, 2009 – The credentials of Lovely Professional University, Phagwara have again been validated, this time by eminent magazine Competition Success Review (CSR). In collaboration with Global Human Resources Development Centre (GHRDC), CSR carried out an Engineering College Survey across the country, wherein LPU has been ranked as the 11th best amongst the list of “Engineering Colleges of Excellence” of the country. LPU is also the only private institution from Punjab that featured in the top 15 “Engineering Colleges of Excellence” across India.

The laurel has come close on the heels of other recognitions awarded to the Phagwara based University, which has also been ranked as the Best University Golden Lotus Award 2009 by Business Digest; 1st in Leading Technology Adopter by Electronics For You. The University has also been ranked as A++ University for MBA program by Business India and has been honoured by various other coveted awards of eminence.
The CSR-GHRDC survey for 2009 for Engineering institutes including IITs and NITs was carried out across the country and institutes were adjudged on the basis of criterion like infrastructure (Physical & Academic), Faculty, Research, Consultancy, MDP & Others Programmes, Admission, Curriculum & Delivery System, Placement (Domestic & International /industry interface). What is impressive is that LPU scored points on all the parameters in a homogeneous way. The University scored a whooping 215.33 points in Placements/Industry Interface category, which is among the highest in the list. In fact, as far as infrastructure is concerned it has scored more than the 1st rank holder of the list.

With yet another feather in LPU's cap, its Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal said “Awards and honours no doubt make us feel good, but more so they have an effect of a motivator. They compel us to work harder towards achieving higher milestones of excellence. In this academic session, we have plans to usher in new far reaching steps that will help us to achieve student oriented goals in a more comprehensive and profound manner.
