All In The Mind
Nick is of an age where having an imaginary friend is nothing out of the ordinary—for a seven-year-old with a fertile imagination, it is just a part of growing up.
But when June and Brian realize that their younger son is having conversations with his older brother, Stuart, they have reason to be worried. Stuart died several years ago in a motorcycle accident at the age of 17.
Though they have tried to get on with their lives, Nick’s imaginary discussions with his brother have them at the end of their tether. Expert after expert has seen Nick and come to the same conclusion: it is all a part of the grieving process.
However, on a bank holiday weekend break in the country, things begin to happen that cannot be explained away as a reaction to grief and Brian and June are forced to see their situation in an entirely new light.
