Follow on Google News | Unlock iPhone 3.0; Top Consumer Choice in UK and Japan2009 surveys reveal international consumers prefer to unlock iPhone 3GS handsets over all other options
By: 29.08.2009 The Apple iPhone remains exclusive to one network per country (SoftBank in Japan and o2 in the UK). What this means for some consumers is that without unlocking iPhone handsets they are unable to use them, living in a part of the country that the network cannot cover. It was predicted that consumers would opt for other smartphone models instead, but the industry found consumers are still choosing their favorite (iPhone), but opting to unlock iPhone 3GS handsets instead, via software from companies like California based iPhone Unlocking Solutions. “It’s a surprise the iPhone has become top choice in Japan” says iPhone Unlocking Solutions CEO Michael Cera, “it originally got a slamming there, but now it’s gaining ground it’s important to make it available to everyone. That’s why we develop software that can unlock iPhone 3.0 models and stop unnecessarily excluding consumers from using them.” Four years after their establishment, iPhone Unlocking Solutions have sold software to over 1.5 million customers worldwide, allowing them to unlock iPhone 3GS and 3.0 models. The company have been ready for each new iPhone release so far, which means unlocking iPhones is an option from the first day of their release. Japanese and UK consumer surveys have highlighted that the iPhone remains the favorite smartphone choice, even though many consumers will require software to unlock iPhone 3.0 and unlock iPhone 3GS handsets as the exclusive networks cannot provide coverage for their entire country. Unlocking iPhone models has been a popular choice since software was first released by San Diegan company iPhone Unlocking Solutions in 2005. End
