That's what novelist D.L. Shiloh wants you to say when you visit his new web site, http://www.911novel.com.
The site is dedicated to his in-progress novel "Waiting For The End." Shiloh wants readers - from every country - to share their story in a guest book section of where they were when they heard the news of the September 11th attacks.
"I think it will be a place of healing, which is a theme behind the book," Shiloh said. "Just putting it down in words helps. Writing this book has been a way I've been able to move forward."
Shiloh has been at work on "Waiting for the End" since May 2009 and reached the 35,000 word mark on this week. He expects it to be completed in several months and will shop it around to various small press publishers. The work is the follow-up to "Pookoo", a satire about celebrity. "Pookoo" is available at Amazon.com.
While at http://www.911novel.com, readers can sign up for the D.L. Shiloh e-mail list, as well as alerts to any Shiloh news, and free downloads such as audio clips and wallpapers) and to get pre-registered for the new novel, all at no cost.
"September 11th touched everyone - and I live in Illinois," Shiloh said. "I attended high school in Connecticut with people who were in the Twin Towers. My neighbors had a nephew who died in the Towers that day. My wife went to school with a woman who was a temp and escaped before the collapse. Everyone has a memory to share. Everyone remembers that fateful day."
"We request that people use respect when posting their 9-11 memory and use it as a sacred place," Homefield Multimedia'a Mike Pace said. "We want a positive space, so please respect that wish."
Homefield Multimedia may publish a separate book of memories in commemoration of the September 11th attacks, based on the comments left on 911novel.com. "It would be a good thing for History to know," Shiloh said. "It would honor the victims. It would make a good fundraiser."
