Blogs and poetry aims to be different in how the community is run and have a personal touch of a privately owned community!
I write weekly articles involving Internet safety and Site Announcements. And a comprehensive Help section for members that may not know how to use a feature of the site, or just may be entirely new to the blogging arena and not know anything about blogging or the internet. My articles will not only help them at blogs and poetry, but through out the internet where ever they go! It's about change and doing what I find other communities lack.
Don't be fooled by the name though, blogs and poetry is for people to create a free no cost account to write an online journal, upload profile photos and participate in the public photo gallery. The concept is to have a place online where people can have a place to go worth visiting and meet like minded people and chat if they wish in the forums. So blogs and poetry is not just about poetry, it's about the resilient human spirit and a place to share thoughts and feelings.
At blogs and poetry we have a section for groups that may be interested in a particular hobby or interest where other members can join this group or simply create a private group of their own. There's also a robust calender where members can create events for the community to see. Next we have our forums where members can post topics, ask questions and get involved in intersting conversations and sometimes a heated topic.
Here's something I don't see alot of communities do at all, Member Contest! The contest is to stimulate growth on blogs and poetry and member moral. It doesn't stop their though, there will be surprise contest from time to time! There is a contest now, but you have to visit us for the details.
A good community starts one by one. Park your profile and write some blogs, share your thoughts, post a few things in the forums and you will find that others will follow! Check back from time to time as we grow, you never know, you may get a comment on your blog post sooner than you think! Blogs and Poetry is new, not dead.
