Beirut Gets new Sheriff
There is a new sheriff coming to town in Beirut, Lebanon.
American born Brian Bausch, a gun slinging world traveler will take charge in Beirut, officially on the 11th of September, 2009, through September 13th.
Sheriff Brian does not ride in a standard police vehicle.
He rides a horse, backwards.
His official title of Sheriff has been given to him by the western country theme park El Rancho in Lebanon as its kicks off three days of its first annual Wild West Festival.
Brian is one of the top American country western rodeo riders and performers and joins a full cast of characters which will be unveiled during the festival.
“No one in the world would imagine a typical American Country-Western Wild West festival could be happening in Beirut” said Paul Naimeh, Chairman of El Rancho, operators of the festival.” We are expecting thousands of visitors during the three days of our first annual Wild West Festival”.
El Rancho first launched its western country ranch concept in Lebanon just over 18 months ago, and since then, El Rancho shareholders have never looked back, unless looking from the back of a horse.
El Rancho, a working eco ranch, is the only live interactive cowboy western ranch in the entire region.
Activities for all ages from 2 to 92 are available on the 250,000 sq, meter mountain resort.
The Wild West Festival is attracting more than some of the best entertainers in the rodeo world. Johnny Hot Shot , from Arizona, one of the fastest guns in the west, will thrill audiences with trick shooting and gun spinning. Country music bands will be on hand with mechanical bulls to round out the fun.
“ I am extremely surprised and thrilled to be back in Beirut”, said Hot Shot,
“The people are just great and its wonderful to perform all of our tricks and be so appreciated here in Lebanon, which is the wild thing for us, coming from so far away and being accepted and appreciated and made to feel at home so fast” he said.
Chief Little Hawk, a native American Indian, has also come to the Wild West Festival in Lebanon for the festival and will share Native Indian culture and enchant his favorite audience, children, who swarm to hear his mesmerizing abilities as of one of Americas greatest storytelling grammy winners.
“El Rancho has a team of trick riders who will be entertaining visitors from all over the Middle East, and Lebanon. Most of our guests have never been to America , therefore we have delivered authentic Cowboy and Native American and Mexican Culture to them in Lebanon on a compelling stage here at El Rancho.” added Naimeh.
The Wild West Festival will be open at 12:00 , or High Noon throughout the night, for three consecutive days nights staring September 11th in Ghoudras, near Adma, Lebanon.
