Aug. 29, 2009 - PRLog -- We are well into festival season, but there’s still more to come – so we thought wellie-wearers might appreciate some last-minute fashion tips from the Models Direct team!

As always, what to wear and how to wear it is almost as important as who’s appearing on the stage when it comes to festival fashion. Model Kate Moss is a well-known fan and trendsetter in festival wear, but how do you get her look?

We think your festival fashion kit for 2009 should include:

•   Hunters wellingtons
•   Denim shorts
•   Distressed jeans
•   Waistcoat (preferably fringed this year!)
•   Oversized vest
•   Leggings
•   Aviator shades
•   Trilby hat
•   Poncho or parka
•   Tassel-edge scarf
•   Holdall/tote bag

So you have ‘the look’. Now how do you create even more impact and preserve it even while you’re out amongst the elements?

According to Models Direct fashion experts, the great news is that you can break all the usual rules at festivals! Attention-grabbing eyes, bright lips and glitter are all acceptable, even in combination, if you so desire – so make the most of it!

Smoky eyes are an obvious choice so take a good, long-lasting black or grey eye pencil. A strong matt lip colour will last the best. Remember your favourite lip balm to slick over the top if you want to go glossy.

For at least the first night it’s not necessary to remove your make up. Just touch it up in the morning, add a dab of glitter to your cheekbones for a ‘cheat’ fresh-faced look and you’re good to go! On the second morning you may want to make use of some handy make-up wipes: you can get these for all skin types and you’ll find yourself using them for all sorts of clean up jobs.

Hair? From day two, that’s what hats are for!

Don’t forget to take a compact mirror and invest in a miniature deodorant. Finally, please don’t forget your sunscreen – harmful UV rays will age your skin even more quickly than all those late nights!

If you really cut a dash at the festivals, you might even feel ready to become a model!
