Russell Young single "NO GOOD" receiving "Radio Airplay"!!

Aug. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Russell Young's new single "No Good" was just named as one of the top songs on "Hardcorejamz.com".  He has been
recieving tremendous radio play on many radio stations across the world including internet, college, satellite, and major radio stations on the east coast.  His independent approach to the music business has been paying off for his indie imprint "Fam 1st Music Group LLC" thus far.  With no assistance from publicist, marketing, or promotion companies, Russell Young has been self distibuting his material via internet himself.  After studying the music business, and going through the ups and downs of companies always scamming independent artist, Russell Young researched, got connections, and put his music out to industry heads himself.  He learned to trust no one because everybody in the game seems to be only worried about stealing the next dollar from a starving artist at any cost.  It's amazing how, if you do research you can have all the same connections for free that these marketing and promotion companies are charging you thousands of dollars for.  He now realizes the game is definitely 90% business and 10% talent.

Even though he sounds like a lyricist at heart, From a small town in "Virginia", a place that is non-existent to the hip-hop world's of "Atlanta", "New York", "Miami", or "L.A." comes an artist who to the naked eye is the lesser known of the "Future of Hip-Hop's Next List" is "Russell Young".  Strong, witty, clever lyrics, draped over hard hitting southern and eastcoast beats, "Russell Young" is by far one of the most " lyrically Street Savvy" rap artist in the underground today.  When listening to some of "Russell Young's" songs it's almost like you are right there in his world which is a very strong concept that alot of artist seem to lack these days.  You can feel in his songs the "passion", and "determination" he puts forth in each of his stories.    After dropping his first single "My Life" "Russell Young" has just dropped his second single "No Good" produced by "Kafaeno" off of his highly anticipated album "Finally" which is due to drop winter 09.  As of now "My Life" has been the most added single to college and internet radio.  He is getting features on many websites and blogs, as well as interviews from radio stations around the world. After only taking his music career seriously for 1 year he was nominated the best "Underground Rap Artist" in the south at the "Underground Music Awards Show" in Manhattan New York last summer 2008.    In 2008 Russell Young traveled up and down the southeast region performing at clubs, fashion shows, coffee houses, and open mics showcasing his skills as well as giving away promotional cd's in hopes of building his buzz.  Today Russell Young has over 2 million myspace plays and almost 20,000 friends.  His career has been inspired by legendary artist such as "Biggie Smalls", "Big L", "Tupac", "Big Pun", "Jay-Z", and "Nas".  He is inspired by these artist because they are true to what they do and never felt they had to break there stride to please anyone.
