The owner, Manolis Anastasakis, announced the changes this week, saying, “We decided to add jewellery to the range of items available on line when we realised that some of our regular customers would, perhaps, not be visiting us this year, and we felt it would give them the opportunity to see what is new this year and also to buy items for Christmas as they normally do. We also took the chance to add some items from the range of pearl jewellery which we have always stocked but which has never appeared anywhere on the web site before.”
“Since we launched the new web site, with its improved navigation and new background, in April,” Manolis said, “We have had a much greater number of visitors to the site than ever before, confirming our feeling that there is much interest in Greek art and ceramics around the world. We hope that we have avoided the ‘supermarket feel’ that prevails on many shopping web sites while providing visitors with information in a relaxed manner!”
“As Autumn approaches,”
A further addition to the web site is a photo gallery of new work by Swedish artist Nicole Vider, who has been resident on Crete for some years now. Apart from the large ceramic ‘bodies’ for which she is well known, Nicole has remodelled her humorous noses, lips, ears, and other masks, in a new lighter material which makes them easier for visitors to carry home and also provides a more economical end product.
The new jewellery pages are available through the web site which can be found at http://www.kouroupis.gr
