AIESEC - Creating Global Leaders

It is in AIESEC, the international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential.

AIESEC attracts and cultivates youth with global mindsets and connects them to each other and organizations in the Corporate, Developmental and Educational sectors. Over 4,000 organisations have trusted the AIESEC leadership, including MNCs like Alcatel, PricewaterhouseCoopers, DHL, ABN AMRO, Standard Chartered, Electrolux and many more.
AIESEC is completely run by youth in an energetic, innovative, passionate and dynamic way aiming at activating leadership in youth. It has a global presence in over 1700 universities and 107 countries making it the world’s largest youth-run organization. Its platform consists of over 5,500 exchanges, 470 conferences, and nearly 7700 leadership opportunities each year globally. The platform, where the experience is self-driven, helps develop themselves and people around them to have a positive impact in society.

Since its inception in 1948, AIESEC has worked to fulfill its mission of developing young people to be individuals able to meet the challenges of the world. In India it was established in 1981 and now works with several prominent organizations such as Wipro, Tata Group, HSBC, ABN AMRO, Coca Cola, HDFC and Mahindra to name a few.

AIESEC in Delhi IIT is utilising its valuable membership and network of eminent externals, to spread awareness and empower the youth. The project Eureka is an effort to increase the entrepreneurial capabilities of young people in Delhi by providing knowledge, activating courage and enabling them to plan steps for further action. Genesis is an initiative by AIESEC in Delhi IIT towards HIV/AIDS & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).” “We look at this as an initiative not only to spread awareness, but also as an effort to unite the corporate and developmental sectors in their efforts towards improving the situation of the issue,” says Prithvish Uppal, Vice President Communicaiotn and Information Management - AIESEC in Delhi IIT. They also run projects on topics like Technology, Marketing, Finance, Education and child rights. This year, AIESEC in Delhi IIT is also hosting the National Leadership Strategic Conference, one of the most important conferences in AIESEC India with almost 500 delegates participating form 14 cities of the country.
