1st ANNUAL KANSAS STATE VINTAGE BASE BALL TOURNAMENT
Victorian Era Tussle on the Field!
On Saturday October 3rd and on Sunday October 4th, the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club will host the 1st Annual Kansas State Vintage Base Ball Tournament at Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita, Kansas during their County Fair Days. The Wichita Bull Dozers, the Jetmore Nine, the Tallgrass Nine and the Wichita Red Stockings will participate in this opening tournament to crown the State Vintage Base Ball Champion for 2009.
Vintage Base Ball is a growing sport with more teams forming every year and as such we must step up to the plate and promote the history and grandeur of America’s pastime lest the true meaning of base ball is forgotten. Seriously, the teams support their local communities and the State of Kansas with entertainment, sport, and historical knowledge, plus it is just outright fun to watch and play!
