Kennesaw, Georgia. Speaking at the 2nd Kenya Diaspora International Conference and Investment Forum at Kennesaw State University on August 22, 2009, Tom McLain, secretary of the World Chamber of Commerce ("WCC"), called for the establishment of a Kenyan Consulate in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. McLain, who is also an international lawyer with Chorey, Taylor & Feil in Atlanta, acknowledged presence of the Kenyan Embassy in Washington and consular offices in New York and Los Angles, but argued that Atlanta was the key to unlocking a very favorable trade region for Kenyan. "Kenya needs to establish a full consular office in Atlanta, or, at the very least, an honorary consul," said McLain to the applause of the attendees at the Forum.
