Starting in 2007, owner Melissa Hutcheson started experimenting with age-defying and skin friendly base oils, therapeutic grade essential oils and botanicals which lead to the start of the soap business. Based in San Francisco, CA, The Joy of Soap products are created from scratch using the finest quality ingredients resulting in a luxurious, moisturizing and creamy line of soaps that are gentle on the skin.
The Vegetable recipes begin with certified organic oils, sustainable and therapeutic grade essential oils and organic or wild crafted botanicals. The essential oils and exfoliants are used for aromatherapy and skin healthy benefits. All the sassy handmade soaps begin with a base of certified organic and locally grown olive oil, plus certified organic coconut, palm, and castor oils. All bars are made in two sizes, a large 5oz bar for $5.95 and a travel or guest 2 oz bar for $3.50.
