The EcoEco Group, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico is helping businesses attract environmentally conscious consumers, manage costs in a tightening economy and do their part to preserve natural resources.
A recent study by branding experts BBMG, reported that almost 80% of U.S. Consumers believe that they can make a difference by using goods and services from socially or environmentally responsible companies. But just how does a small or medium business take advantage of this buying habit? That's the question that The EcoEco Group is helping answer.
“The bottom line for all businesses, no matter their size, includes managing costs and attracting more business.” Says Kim Bourne Ribbans, Senior Consultant and Founder of The EcoEco Group, “we add the third dimension to that, being environmentally responsible”
After working with electrical utility companies around the country as Vice President of Marketing for GoodCents Solutions, one of the country's most successful energy efficiency brands, Bourne Ribbans came to understand that the it was at the individual level that real change would be effected. As the BBMG study shows, consumers want to do their part and businesses can help them.
In a recent projects Bourne Ribbans showed a small light industrial business how to become carbon neutral in under a year, and how another business could convert all their marketing communications to using recycled paper, non-toxic inks and reach more customers for less money.
“When you have a large majority of consumers looking for companies that have responsible environmental policies, it just makes sense to go after that market,” comments Bourne Ribbans. “The exciting thing about 'greening' your business to attract or retain more customers is that it can save money too.”
The EcoEco Group says that most businesses can expect payback on “greening”
According to Bourne Ribbans, “the most frequent comment we hear is that the problem appears to be so big or complicated that many businesses don't know where to start. We can help them”
