NTT Com Asia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), today announced the official launch of Virtualization as a Service (VaaS) - the first on demand full-gear virtualization service in Hong Kong that offers integrated solutions covering remote access, security and business continuity.
The newly launched VaaS series comprises all-round virtualization solutions, ranging from Virtual Server Hosting and Virtual Infrastructure to Virtual Office, which entirely elevates the technology to the next generation. Housed in NTT Com’s Tier III+ data centre in Hong Kong and equipped with HKNet’s premium internet service “vIP-Net” powered by NTT Com Tier 1 IP backbone, the VaaS solutions ensure exceptionally speedy connectivity and high security.

The service is a best-effort solution to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by saving infrastructure deployment time, leveraging physical resources and providing hands-on application management and upgrades. Under VaaS, companies can save up to 50% on their IT cost compared to traditional virtualization solutions. The service fee is subject to an Operational Expenditure (OPEX) basis in which cost estimation becomes steady and predictable, while companies remain scalable and flexible to plan future business growth.
