Green Gives Back – The Launch Pad’s Easy-to-GreenIT Computer Recycling and Green IT Initiative

The Launch Pad, the leading Florida-based Managed IT Services provider, today announced the roll out of their enhanced Green IT initiative.  With RevITup™ Easy-to-GreenIT™ The Launch Pad will offer an integrated set of services that helps local organizations not only easily recycle computer equipment and implement Green technology into their business but also includes a community outreach program for nonprofit organizations. The Launch Pad is committed to helping small and medium sized businesses improve their “Green Score,” reduce costs and find ways to reuse equipment in the community.  “Applying sound environmental practices to IT services just makes sense for business.  Green technologies can not only encompass sound environmental principals but can also help save money and improve business operations,” says Ilene Rosoff, Founder and President of The Launch Pad.

Energy conservation, protection of the environment, and community outreach has long been a part of The Launch Pad’s company culture. To help businesses recycle equipment, The Launch Pad has partnered with eCycling.com, a Tampa-based, nationwide IT asset disposition and electronics recycling provider.  Through this relationship, we can provide a quick and easy recycling service to Launch Pad clients during equipment upgrades and decommissions. You don’t have to be a client to participate. We encourage any business wishing to recycle or to improve their IT score to participate.

In addition to facilitating eCycling services for clients, nonprofit organizations can take advantage of GreenBack™ , The Launch Pad’s Community Outreach Program.  Through this computer recycling program, gently used PCs and other equipment can be repurposed back into the community and made available to local nonprofits.  To participate, nonprofits simply need to submit a wish list of needed equipment; The Launch Pad blogs, tweets and posts the requests in our newsletter, allowing businesses an opportunity to make a donation.  When a donation is made, The Launch Pad tweets the donation, giving the business recognition for their good deed.  “This is functional relationship building at its best.  Through our RevITup™ Easy-to-GreenIT™ program, businesses learn how to give back to the community and help protect the environment.  This initiative benefits everyone, “says Rosoff.
