Aug 25, 2009 – Hazlet, NJ – The nationally recognized Hollywood Golf Club in Deal will host a day of golf on Monday, October 26, to raise funds for 180 Turning Lives Around, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence. The event, “Play 18 for 180,” is the 3rd Annual Golf Classic to benefit the private Monmouth County agency.
“Registration and lunch starts at 11 a.m.,” said Assistant Director of Development Amy Thomas, who added that “from 11 to the 12:30 shotgun start, the driving range and putting green will be open.” After golfers complete the course, which has been rated among the top 100 courses nationwide, they will proceed to a cocktail reception with an open bar followed by an awards dinner at 6:30.
“We are really looking forward to this event. It’s a beautiful course and everyone had such a great time last year,” said Thomas. “Anyone who loves golf, regardless of skill level, will enjoy the opportunity to play at the Hollywood Golf Club while helping this worthy cause.”
The cost of a foursome, which includes two golf carts and use of the lockers, putting green and driving range access, 18 holes of golf with refreshment stations at the 5th and 9th holes, buffet lunch and dinner, cocktail reception and prizes, is $1,800 for a foursome or $500 for an individual.
