If you have an acoustic guitar than you probably treat it as your little baby. I think everyone that gets a new guitar tries their best to prevent it from getting damaged, but it doesn't really seem to matter because you will always get some sort of scratch or dent on it. The good news is that there are a number of little tricks that you can apply to help fix these problems, so that your guitar looks as good as new.
If you get a little dent than you only have to do one little thing to fix it. Just put about a drop of water on the dent and the wood should absorb it. As wood absorbs water it will experience swelling and it will swell back up to its original position before it got dented. As for scratches, you have to understand that the scratch is on the finish rather than the wood. This means you can take clear nail polish and put it on the scratch. Since it is clear, you'll have the appearance of your finish and you won't be able to see the scratch anymore.
These are the ways that you can use to help repair an acoustic guitar. They are effective, cheap and easy to apply.
