Dixicorp Continues Growing And Launches Dixipe.

Aug. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- Last week Delaware-based DIXICORP Inc. came on the scene with a new soft offering unified communications services.

Dixipe (www.Dixipe.com) provides a full integrated address book, interconnecting users to major instant messaging networks (MSN, Yahoo, Gtalk, AIM, ICQ, and others), allowing them to chat with all their contacts from a single, easy-to-use interface.

The new tool adds SMS and telephony services, enabling text and voice communication to any land line or mobile device.

With the release of Dixipe, DixiCorp Inc. expands its potential market share, entering the realms of IM and SMS.

“Dixipe is neither a brilliant idea nor a highly developed software. It’s just a simple utility based on an open source platform. But if you try it, you’ll love it, because of all those things you will be able to do with it”, said CLAUDIO RODRIGUEZ, CTO and co-founder of DixiCorp.

Maybe, he is right. In fact, Dixipe is one of the first applications to unify all of a consumer’s communication needs –IM, text, voice, video- into a single interface, solving the challenge of communication overload due to the enormous expansion of different channels.

They have received a generous feedback for this first beta release. But, they are not satisfied, and will continue to work improving their software. “We will have soon a new release, with more amazing features”, said ANKIT GHANDI, one of their developers.

Dixipe is totally free. However users can opt to use certain low-cost services. For instance, they can pay a monthly fee and subscribe to unlimited plans or create accounts with prepaid credit, to be able to make calls and send SMS worldwide.

“We’ve been working a lot to release Dixipe. It’s like our new toy these days. Even though, we don’t expect to make money shortly with it. Dixipe is actually a long term bet”, said GONZALO NIEVA, CEO and co-founder of DixiCorp.

Dixipe is free and is not expected to generate profits in the short term. However the developers fall in love with their new toy. They are investing time and money in the software, and pretend to continue doing it.

Are they crazy? Is DixiCorp a foundation, aimed to provide amazing tools for free without expecting anything from the users?

“Well, actually we are not a foundation. We really enjoy doing what we do, but we obviously pursue to get some reward from our tools in some point. Nowadays DixiCorp is just a dream, a start up, however we have other business units aimed to produce profits in the mid term”, explained Gonzalo. “We provide VoIP services and PBX solutions for small businesses. Besides that, we recently achieved a partnership with ICR Adventus, a leading IT company from Europe to integrate their software with our PBXs, and provide feature-rich contact center solutions in Latin America”.

On one hand they have a big dream, and on the other hand they have a wide range of profitable solutions for the business market.

Maybe they are modest and say DixiCorp is just a dream. But, in spite of the company is not producing big profits yet, it seems to have a remarkable potential.

It was founded as GDC Group SRL. They started installing a contact center in Argentina to sell third parties telecom services to Europe, and then they developed their own communications services and solutions.

They were just three entrepreneurs at the beginning, and now the company has more than 30 associates, including developers in India, commercial partners in Europe, and several angel investors. Believe it or not, they started with a seed capital of 15 thousand dollars, and now the company equity value exceeds the 2 million dollars.
