With the economy the way it is, the EHCAA has taken in many more cats than there are facilities to house them. The number of cats has almost doubled in the past year, going from just over 100 to over 175 at the current time. Adoptions are slow and the organization has already expended $30,000 in new facilities in the form of covered and sheltered outside enclosures. The organization's indoor facilities have reached maximum capacity. To facilitate the raising of the necessary funds, the EHCAA has initiated the selling of its own products on eBay. These products consist of cat wheels, cat trees, walking jackets, hammocks, beds, and toys. People are encouraged to purchase these products to help support the shelter cats and to facilitate the building of the required new facilities. A search of eBay listings for walking jackets or other products will bring up the EHCAA's listings available for bidding. The EHCAA is also accepting donations through eBay's Mission Fish Organization. The link for donating is: donations.ebay.com/
In addition to donations (both monetary and in the form of materials), the EHCAA is in need of volunteers to assist in caring for the animals as well as in the construction of the new facilities. Any interested parties should contact the organization directly.
