Aug. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- Australia’s Skilled Migration Program aims to help fill skill shortages within the Australian labour market. The initiative identifies individuals who can bring valuable economic benefits to the Australian economy. This visa program is designed for professionals, trades persons, or students graduating from an Australian university.

Now, visa applicants can get the help they need with National Visas’ Skilled Visa consultation service. National Visas, a world leader in Australian immigration services, has helped hundreds of business visitors, travelers and immigrants acquire their Australian visa.

There are several types of skilled visas available for consultation. There two basic types: those that can be acquired independent of sponsors and those that require sponsorship from either an Australian relative or a State/Territory.

The Skilled Independent Visa is for clients who meet the required points and can rely on their own skill, education and employability to satisfy the visa criteria. The Skilled Recognised Graduate Visa is for people who have completed highly regarded international studies related to an industry that the Australian Government deems to have very high skill shortage in Australia.

The Skilled Sponsored (Australian Relative) Visa and Skilled Regional Sponsored (Australian Relative) Visa are for people who have family members willing to sponsor them. Family members must be either the applicant’s parent, non-dependent child, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, first cousin or grandparent. The difference between the two visas is that for the Regional visa, the sponsor must be living in regional, rural or low population growth area of Australia.

The Skilled Sponsored (State/Territory) Visa and the Skilled Regional Sponsored (State/Territory) Visa are for people who can be sponsored by an individual Australian State or Territory Government. The visa addresses very high skill shortage in particular regions of Australia. The difference between the two visas is again dependent on the location, the Regional visa is for those who are willing to live in the regional areas of Australia.

The Skilled Overseas Student Visa is for overseas students currently studying or completing studies in Australia who want to remain in the country on a permanent basis.

There are other types of Skilled Visas available to people but not many qualify for these. However, National Visas may still be able to help clients with these issues.
National Visas has been offering clients advice on acquiring visas for Australia. It is registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA).
