ATLANTA, GA - Career Fashion Consignment, a shop that offers savvy consignors and shoppers a budget friendly and socially conscious opportunity to meet their business attire needs, announces its grand opening and gala on Saturday, August 29, 2009. Located on fashionable Bennett Street in Buckhead, owner Judi Gerhardt has developed a chic, environmentally-
Owner Judi Gerhardt has worked tirelessly to make Career Fashion Consignment the place of her dreams, where art and the environment come together in a green business that serves her clients well while nurturing her spirit. After a successful number of years as a political consultant in Atlanta and D.C. and as a small business owner, Judi knows the value of tenacity and reinvention, understanding that making a career transition can be challenging economically and intellectually. She created CFC to offer career fashion value in today’s competitive professional community while supporting socially conscious business models.
Additionally, August 29 is a significant date for owner Judi Gerhardt. “Four years ago, Hurricane Katrina winds literally blew away my 16-year-long business dream,” says Gerhardt. “I am replacing that date with a new beginning, thus the launch of Career Fashion Consignment on the 29th”. At the launch party, hosted from 6:00-9:00p.m., Gerhardt will be featuring food by Hiery & Dexter Cafe and Catering, a company that strives to be not only ecologically responsible, but to provide food that is delicious, real, fresh and natural. Also, as a nod to New Orleans, Ms. Gerhardt is importing rum for the event to make a Bourbon Street signature drink, the Hurricane. In addition, CFC will be entertaining its guests with live guitar music, a beautiful tent, and decor provided by Interiors Market and International Art Properties. For Atlanta professionals and fashionistas, this event is not to be missed.
Career Fashion Consignment is now open for sales as well as intake of consignment items for fall and winter career clothes. Saturday, August 29, 2009 is simply the official launch and Grand Opening! CFC would like to extend an invitation to the entire Atlanta community to stop in during the day to explore our exceptional stock of gently-kept consigned career clothes. CFC is also extending its “50/50” Founding Consignors’ percentage until August 30, 2009. Bring in items and receive 50% of sales price FOR LIFE!
