ORLANDO – Adding to the fundamental educational premise of Krysta’s Kingdom animated children’s television series, production company Electric Bear Studios has partnered with Raven Tree Press for Krysta’s Book Nook.
Raven Tree Press is providing the book Counting Coconuts, written by Wendi Silvano and illustrated by Marty Granius, which teaches children to count in English and Spanish. The book will be featured in episode two – airing Sept. 14 on Kids and Teens Tevelision – of Krysta’s Kingdom and can be found on the Web site’s Book Nook.
“One of children’s favorite characters Milo the Hummingbird can’t stop counting throughout the show,” said Barbara Siragusa, producer, Electric Bear Studios. “We believe this partnership with Raven Tree Press for Counting Coconuts is a perfect fit for our lively and educational animated characters, like Milo, featured in the series.”
The premise for Krysta’s Kingdom is the main character Krysta, played by Brittany Duchaine, is stranded on a magical, deserted island when Milo the hummingbird pops her hot air balloon. When she begins exploring the island she meets many friends, including Rudy the rubber duck, a magic mirror, and Lady Liz the lady bug.
“Each character was designed to bring morals, values and education fundamentals to life,” added Siragusa. “Children will fall in love with each and every one of them, and also learn something as they are entertained.”
Not only is the television series designed to be educational for viewers, but also the Web site features many resources for children and parents alike, including the Book Nook, a lab, spelling quizzes, cooking tips, and more.
Krysta’s Kingdom can be seen on Kids and Teens Television on Saturday mornings at 7:30 and Saturday afternoons at 1:30, starting Sept. 7.
